Piriformis syndrome


Sindrom piriformis terjadi apabila saraf sciatic ditekan atau pun diganggu oleh otot piriformis (di pinggul). Sindrom ini digelar neuromuscular disorder. Kesannya pesakit akan sakit punggung dan sakit di keseluruhan saraf sciatic iaitu dari punggung hingga ke bawah kaki.Kebiasaannya pesakit akan terasa kesakitan teramat sangat ketika duduk, menaiki tangga dan mencangkung.
